Welcome to Dirty Dogs Huyton. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) set out the basis on which we provide dog grooming services. By booking an appointment with us, you agree to these Terms.

2. Our Services
We provide professional dog grooming services, including (but not limited to): bathing, drying, coat trimming, clipping, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and general pet hygiene care.
All services are carried out in line with the welfare of the animal and industry best practices.
3. Booking & Appointments
Appointments must be booked in advance via phone, email, or through our website.
Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you are late, we may not be able to complete the full service and a fee may still apply.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give at least 24 hours’ notice.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation charge of [e.g. 50% of the service fee].
4. Health & Behaviour of Dogs
Owners must inform us of any health issues, medical conditions, allergies, injuries, or behavioural concernsbefore the grooming session.
We reserve the right to refuse service if a dog is aggressive, poses a risk to staff, or appears unwell.
For severely matted coats, we may need to carry out a “clip down” for the welfare of the dog. Extra charges may apply.
Bitches in season, pregnant, or nursing may be refused for grooming at our discretion.
5. Vaccinations & Flea Policy
Dogs must be up to date with vaccinations.
We reserve the right to refuse service if your dog shows signs of fleas, ticks, or other parasites. A surcharge may apply for flea treatment and cleaning costs.
6. Liability
While every care is taken, grooming is carried out at the owner’s risk.
We are not liable for any underlying health issues that become apparent during or after grooming.
If veterinary treatment is required during grooming, we will make every effort to contact you. If urgent treatment is required, we reserve the right to seek veterinary care at your expense.
We accept no responsibility for loss, injury, illness, or death of a dog caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
7. Pricing & Payment
Prices vary depending on the breed, size, coat condition, and behaviour of your dog.
A quote will be provided before the appointment but may be adjusted if the dog requires additional work (e.g. due to matting or behaviour).

8. Photography & Marketing
We may take photographs of your dog before and after grooming for training, marketing, or promotional purposes (e.g. social media).
Please let us know in advance if you do not consent to your dog being photographed.
9. Owner Responsibilities
By booking an appointment, you confirm that:
You are the legal owner of the dog or have authority to act on behalf of the owner.
Your dog is fit, healthy, and safe to be groomed.
You will collect your dog at the agreed time. Additional charges may apply if your dog is left with us beyond the agreed period.
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any part of our service, please raise this at the time of collection. We will do our best to resolve the matter.
Complaints made after the appointment may be more difficult to resolve but will still be considered.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The revised version will be available on our website, with the effective date clearly shown.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
